Welcome to North Bromsgrove High School, a mixed Comprehensive School for students between the ages of 13 to 18.

North presents a Bromsgrove Premiere of Stephen Sondheim's famous musical.

Enjoy the black humour in this Tony award-winning thriller given the Sondheim treatment. The musical tells the story of Benjamin Barker, alias Sweeney Todd, who returns to London after 15 years' transportation on false charges. When he learns from his former landlady Mrs. Lovett that his wife poisoned herself after being ravaged by the judge who wrongly transported him (Judge Turpin by name), he vows revenge.

Delicious meat pies are made by his obliging neighbour, Mrs Lovett. "We'll serve anyone... to anyone" as the lyric artfully puts it.

The all-student cast is accompanied by an orchestra in this enduring tale of love and revenge.
